Although the Archival Studies MA program became a part of the Department of History in 1991, it wasn’t until Fall 2013 that the University of Manitoba ACA Student Chapter was officially formed. In partnership with the ACA, the U of M ACA Student Chapter seeks to connect Archival Studies students with the Archiving Community. Our student chapter meets to discuss archival issues; arrange academic lectures, professional workshops, and facility tours; host social events; and pursue professional development opportunities.
We are devoted to maintaining a sustainable and supported community where students can discuss not only their research, but local and global issues that affect the archiving community at large.
