Archivist feature: Christopher Kshyk

Christopher Kshyk is currently completing his Master Degree in Archival Studies at the University of Manitoba. A trained historian, he also holds a BA (Honours) Degree in History from the University of Winnipeg and an MA in History from York University. Currently, Christopher is working as an intern at the Archives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels, where he has helped create exhibitions commemorating the alliance’s 70th anniversary. Prior to working at NATO, Christopher worked at the Archives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, where he assisted in digitizing the Agency’s photograph collection and was involved in a project to create a Digital Asset Management System. He has also worked as an archival assistant at the Archives of the United Church of Canada in Winnipeg. Christopher’s thesis focuses on intergovernmental archives, specifically the challenges of balancing security, national interests, and the right to access the corporate records of international organizations.
